All3Media appoints John Hesling as president of Maverick TV
He will report into CEO Simon Knight and All3Media America’s CEO Greg Lipstone.
Hesling most recently served as SVP of programming for Shed Media/Warner Bros. Television. Prior to that, he spent 14 years at the BBC in London, New York and L.A., where he developed, produced and directed award-winning documentaries and factual entertainment formats.
Hesling introduced BBC’s Top Gear into the U.S. market, and his executive producing credits include First Dates and Genius Junior for NBC, Long Lost Family for TLC and Criminal Confessions for Oxygen. A BAFTA and Rose D’or-nominated producer, he has also developed and produced shows for ABC, E!, History and GSN, among others.
'John’s proven mix of domestic and international experience in both cable and broadcast make him the perfect person to continue Maverick’s success and expansion in the U.S. market,' said Lipstone, in a statement.
