French comedian Kyan Khojandi to host the Canneseries Awards Ceremony

French comedian Kyan Khojandi has been chosen to emcee the Closing Awards Ceremony of Canneseries, which will be broadcast live on CANAL+ on Wednesday April 11 at 19.15 hs.

At the Closing Night, jury will present the Awards to the series selected in Official Competition in an Awards Ceremony hosted by Khojandi.

Actor, comedian, screenwriter and director Kyan Khojandi came to the attention of a wide audience in 2011 as the lead in the short form comic series Bref, broadcast on Canal+. Khojandi also directed and co-wrote the series in collaboration with his longtime writing partners Bruno "Navo" Muschio and Harry Tordjman. The series, acclaimed by critics as well as the audience, broke new comic ground in France and Khojandi and his colleagues became part of a new comedy wave.

After the success of Bref came the short form series Bloqués starring Orelsan and Gringe, followed by Serge Le Mytho with a breakout performance by comedian Jonathan Cohen. In 2015, Khojandi took to the stage with the production Pulsions (co-written by Bruno Mushio), a comedy show that sold out every night during its two year run. Khojandi has also taken roles in feature films such as Cédric Klapisch's Chinese Puzzle (2013), Julien Rappeneau's Rosalie Blum (2016), Jonathan Barré's The Comic Adventures of Max and Leon (2016) as well as the recent theatrical releases See You Up There (2017) by Albert Dupontel and Christmas & Co (2017) by Alain Chabat.
