The activities include organizing the first China & International TV Drama Exchange Forum; and hosting the China Pavilion screening. CITVC also has a MIPTV booth located in the China Pavilion at P-1.D2 in the Palais des Festivals.
A new event, called the China & International TV Drama Exchange Forum will launch in Cannes on Sunday, April 8. The event is being organized by China’s Film and TV Import & Export Association (FTIEA), an organization created by CITVC and managed by CHNPEC, for the purpose of fostering communication between high-level executives from major international studios and top Chinese production companies. Confirmed presenting Chinese companies at this inaugural event are: CITVC, Hangzhou JiaPing Pictures, Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Tianyi Media Co., Ltd., and Daylight Entertainment Co., Ltd. International television organizations participating include ITV Studios, WME/Endeavor, AMC Networks, Televisa, ZDF, etc.
Additionally, China’s latest television policies will be presented by senior-level government officials from The State Administration of Radio and Television of the People's Republic of China including Mr. Zheng Yang, Deputy Director General of the TV Series Department.
FTIEA is a 43 Member organization consisting of Chinese production companies including: CITVC, Daylight Entertainment, New Classics Media, Limon Pictures, Perfect World Pictures, Youku, iQiyi, Tencent, and more. FTIEA’s mission is to develop more import and export opportunities for content.
The 4 FTIEA Chinese companies presenting in Cannes will continue on to Portugal for a 2nd forum exchange event with Portuguese local and national broadcast companies, including: Rádio e Televisão de Portugal and Porto Canal. The event will take place in Lisbon and Oporto from April 10-12.
CITVC will also host the China Showcase featuring top Chinese production companies. Fifteen specially selected programs from a variety of genres will make their debut in Cannes. Ms. Shen will act as host of the screening.
