Bomanbridge Media licenses Donal’s Asian Baking Adventure in Asia

Bomanbridge Media (Singapore) announced that it has licensed a deal to see UKTV’s Donal’s Asian Baking Adventure (10X30’) transmitted on BBC Lifestyle in Asia.

This ten-part series is produced for UKTV’s Good Food channel by Denham Productions (John Torode’s Korean Food Tour), in partnership with South Korea’s Cen Media and the Korean Communications Agency. The show follows Irish food writer, photographer and television presenter Donal Skehan as he discovers the flavours and secrets of Asian baking, with stops in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Malaysia. Exploring the growing popularity of baking and flour-based foods in Asia, Skehan will gather inspiration from a range of local experts to pull together his top 20 easy recipes for fantastic Asian bakes.

‘Following the success of John Torode’s Korean Food Tour, we are excited to be partnering again with Argonon International in Asia. The show is hands-down a perfect match for the pan-regionals who now want that local Asian flavor. It gives a great feel of the region, balancing authentic Asian food perspectives with a western chef breaking ground in popularity in the Asia Pacific,’ said Sonia Fleck, CEO of Bomanbridge Media.

Cecilie Olsen, SVP sales and acquisitions at Argonon International, added: ‘Denham Productions has created a truly inspirational show, and I think Asian audiences will be inspired by Donal Skehan and the local experts on hand.’

Bomanbridge Media has also additionally licensed a further deal from Argonon International, soon to air on BBC India, Shaun Micallef’s Stairway To Heaven: Gods, Gurus, and the Ganges (1X60). Shaun Micallef’s Stairway To Heaven, produced by Artemis International for SBS Australia, follows Shaun Micallef as he heads to India and immerses himself in the Hindu world of Gods, Gurus and the Ganges. Additionally Bomanbridge Media separately licensed Tuning 2 You: India’s Lost Musicians (1X60) with BBC India. Acquired from Earth Touch, Tuning 2 You: India’s Lost Musicians, produced by Soumik Datta Arts Production, features an entertaining journey deep into the forests and villages of rural India with a young artist searching for disappearing music.
