Fremantle: Chris Carey joins Dancing Ledge Productions as executive producer

Fremantle announced that Emmy Award-winning Producer, Chris Carey, will join Dancing Ledge Productions as an executive producer, as the company continues to expand their drama slate.

In a 25-year career, Chris has produced and executive produced a number of high-end scripted dramas and comedies. His most recent credits include BBC One’s adaptation of Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables with Lookout Point, BBC One’s psychological thriller Apple Tree Yard with Kudos, and Channel 4’s compelling mini-series, Run. Prior to this, he set-up and ran the independent production company The Welded Tandem Picture Co. which produced Douglas Adam's Dirk Gently for the BBC and This is Jinsy for Sky TV. Chris’ work has spanned many genres, beginning with factual and entertainment, with his first role in network Television on Cilla Black’s iconic dating show, Blind Date.

Most recently Dancing Ledge developed Netflix Original Delhi Crime, co-produced The New Pope starring Jude Law and John Malkovich, and produced Porters for Dave/UKTV.

It is currently developing projects with Paulo Coelho, Mark Gatiss, Faith Soloway, Nathaniel Martello White, Joe Barton and Lauren Sequeira and recently announced a new partnership with Lee Child Lee Child True Crime, a drama series based on real-life stories of people risking their lives in the pursuit of justice.
