Global audience demand for The Handmaid's Tale is greatest in USA

Audience demand for The Handmaid's Tale in the US is currently 12.4% ahead of that in Israel, according to Parrot Analytics.

It is interesting to see just how popular the series is in Israel. The research company suspects that the current political climate may have something to do with this per Simona Weinglass' article in The Times of Isreal titled At Tel Aviv rally, Turkey’s Erdogan and "The Handmaid’s Tale" loom large, published seven days ago.

Global demand in Israel and France for The Handmaid's Tale is closing in on the United States. Parrot Analytics analysis has also revealed that global demand has surged the most in Israel over the last 30 days on a per capita basis. Demand in Israel is now on par with France; audience demand for "The Handmaid's Tale" continues to be greatest in USA. Pre-release demand for Season 3 of The Handmaid's Tale is much greater than prior seasons. The following chart shows the pre-season 3 demand in the United States for "The Handmaid's Tale" (orange line) vs its demand during/after season 2 (green line) and season 1 (blue line).
As we lead-up to the premiere of season 3, the analysis clearly shows that the demand for the next season of The Handmaid's Tale is significantly higher than during any of the prior two seasons. Parrot Analytics has also marked the Super Bowl 2019 teaser trailer release on Feb 4 and the official season 3 trailer release on May 1 on the chart as well; this has been denoted with a "C".

The research further reveals that The Handmaid's Tale is currently 27 times more in-demand than the average TV show in USA. This part of the analysis was carried out for the period May 23-29 using other TV series dramas as a comparison. This level of demand easily puts the series into our “Outstanding” category; only 0.03% of all TV shows are able to achieve this level of success in USA.
