Eccho Rights: Cennet reached 50 territories worldwide

Eccho Rights announced news sales for its Turkish drama series Cennet, reaching 50 territories in total.

The Süreç Film-produced hit from 2018 will air on Nova in Spain, on OBN in Bosnia, has been picked up by Canal+ for sub-Saharan Africa and has also been acquired by MKCS Global in Myanmar, to be the first Turkish Drama broadcast on its female-skewing channel 4ladies.

Cennet becomes the latest Turkish Drama to be picked up by Nova, the Atresmedia owned Spanish broadcaster, who have also acquired Elif (Yesil Yapim) and Ezel (Ay Yapim) from Eccho Rights. With several deals also completed with Mediaset España, Eccho Rights has sold in excess of 800 hours worth of Turkish content to Spain in the past 12 months.

Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights, commented: ‘Cennet is a very strong series with truly global appeal, as reflected by these latest wide-ranging international deals. It exhibits all the classic hallmarks of Turkish Drama, with a heartbreaking romance at its core, family conflicts and a highly talented cast’.

Cennet was a top performer for ATV in Turkey last year, scoring very high ratings in a traditionally difficult Sunday evening prime time slot.
