MIFA/Annecy 2019: Rai Com promotes The Star of Andra&Tati

Rai Com, the Italian public broadcaster commercial division, brings to MIFA/Annecy 2019 a wide and varied catalogue with library titles, new international acquisitions including partner Rai Ragazzi, and the newest productions for Rai YoYo and Rai Gulp.

During MIFA, the market section of Annecy International Animated Film Festival, the Italian company focuses on the international distribution of the 26-minutes special The Star of Andra&Tati that has been included into the Official Selection in the TV Films section.This touching program commissioned by Rai Ragazzi aims to raise the youngers’ awareness on the drama of the holocaust, by telling the sensitive story of two sisters, Andra and Tatiana Bucci, who survived in Auschwitz and are luckily still alive.

Rai Com is also promoting Jams (10x’24), recently awarded at this year’s edition of Cartoons on The Bay as Best Live Actions TV Series, raised out from the conviction that the most effective weapon again sexual harassment is prevention. Co-produced by Rai Ragazzi and Italian production company Stand-by-me, the series tells the story of 11-year-old Joy, who withdraws from her friends and activities when she notices an ambiguous intent in a middle-aged family friend. The series is aiming to help kids understand the risks of sexual harassment, detect when something is wrong, overcome shame and loneliness, and ask for the help of friends and adult intervention.
