CITVC partners NATPE and Prensario to expand CIFTPE 2019

China International Television Corporation (CITVC), the international business division of China Media Group, signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) for cooperation with NATPE and Prensario International to expand CIFTPE 2019 within the Americas.

On the first signing ceremony, organized during at the last NATPE's L.A. Screenings Independents edition in May, CITVC and Prensario International, the pioneer and most renown Latin American trade publication agreed on a mutual cooperation to promote China International Film & TV Programs Exhibition (CIFTPE), to be held on September 11-12 at the National Convention Center in Beijing, China.

Both parts are implementing a series of practical cooperation in media publicity and international promotion. Prensario is publishing strategic editorial pieces and including posters of the events on its Spanish-written editions to promote the event to Latin American producers & TV channels, while CITVC is offering a strong a participation to the publication in the Chinese tradeshow.

Ms. Jianing Shen, EVP of CITVC and GM of China Radio, Film & Television Programs Exchanging Center (CHNPEC), stated: ‘CIFTPE is an important platform for showcasing both Chinese and international content companies. We are pleased to partner with Prensario to help share the news of our prestigious event to their extensive contacts in both Latin America and around the world. We look forward to welcoming Prensario and global content companies to Beijing on September 11 and 12 at the 16ht CIFTPE’.

Fabricio Ferrara, International Business Director at Prensario International, added: ‘We have been working with Asia since 2008, when we decided to put strong emphasis in that region by covering our first Asia TV Forum. Since then we’ve shared many markets with Asian and Chinese companies, and we believe this a strategic step in building a partnership with the most outstanding player of China, CITVC. We hope we can work in many more project in the near future’.

Following this agreement, CITVC has also partnered NATPE at NATPE Budapest, held last month in the Hungarian capital city. Together, they are implementing an all-round, multi-level and wide-ranging cooperation in exhibition publicity, guest invitations and international promotion of CIFTPE, and several international festivals organized by the LA-based organization.

Hosted by China Media Group, CIFTP is guided by the National Radio and Television Administration, and organized by CITVC and CHNPEC, has been increasingly becoming an important international platform for cultural exchange and exhibition promotion of film and television programs. The 15th edition last year attracted more than 300 media institutions and companies from more than 50 countries and regions; exhibited 80,000 program episodes, and received more than 200 overseas news reports in major international media, covering more than 81 million overseas audiences. This year edition will focus on the outstanding works and the development achievements of media integration of China.
